Killeline Leisure Centre, as it has been known for over 20 years, reopened its doors this week on Tuesday the 8th of June 2021 with a new name and full rebrand to reflect its community vision and mission.
The Centre is now formally trading as ‘West Limerick Sports Complex’ (WLSC) and has launched a brand new website www.wlsc.ie.
As part of the transition, the Sports Complex has unveiled a brand new image, logo, website and online booking system. This work is the result of a year-long project that has consulted staff, members, the WLSC board and broader community.
The centre changed from a private company to a not-for-profit Social Enterprise in 2017 and is run by a voluntary board made up of various local community members.
Great progress has been made over the past 3+ years with funding and profits being reinvested back into the continuous improvement of the Sports Complex. Most notably, 2020 saw a complete refurbishment of the gym with brand new, top of the range Technogym equipment, new flooring, lighting and a full makeover.
The board has ambitious plans for the Sports Complex and over the next few weeks will be sharing some exciting news and updates regarding this.
